Three-Time Olympian Dwight Stones To Serve As Guest Speaker At 7th Annual USA Water Polo Golf Tournament

Huntington Beach, CA - April 20 - Dwight Stones, a three-time Olympian and ten-time world record holder in the high jump will be the guest speaker at the 7th Annual USA Water Polo Golf Tournament this winter. The event, set for Friday, December 18, 2009 at the Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Mission Viejo, CA serves as fundraiser for USA Water Polo National Team programs.
Stones who will address tourney attendees during the dinner portion of the event won an incredible 19 National Championship titles during his 16 year career and earned Bronze Medals at the 1972 and 1976 Olympic Games. He was twice voted World Indoor Athlete of the Year, by Track & Field News, and remains history's All-Time #1 Ranked American High Jumper. In 1998, the highest honor in the sport was bestowed upon Dwight when he was inducted into the United States Track & Field Hall of Fame. These days Stones serves as a commentator in a variety of sports, has started his own athletic clothing line, and serves as a Vice President on the US Olympians Association.
