WATER POLO: USA Falls To Australia 10-8 In Third Game of Test Series

USA FALLS TO AUSTRALIA 10-8 IN GAME THREE OF TEST SERIES IN AUSTRALIA Team USA fell to Australia by a count of 10-8 in their third of a five game test series in Perth, Australia. The two teams will meet in Sydney for the remaining two contests of the trip for America. The win for Australia represents a run of five games unbeaten against Team USA. Australia got out to the early lead going up 3-2 after one before USA would come back to grab an advantage in the second stanza. The Aussies would rally to tie the game at four goals apiece headed to intermission. Australia came out determined in the second half opening up a three goal lead in the third quarter on two occasions and doing it again in the fourth quarter leading 9-6. USA would attempt to rally in the fourth but get no closer than the final score. Natalie Golda continues her offensive explosion in Australia as she tallied three goals to give her 10 through three games, while Lauren Wenger added two tallies. "We are doing a good job in the areas that we have focused on. Australia just seems sharper right now." said USA Head Coach Guy Baker. "Our 6X5 attack was better but our finishing the attacks still needs to improve." The two teams will meet again in Sydney on Monday and Tuesday. Assistant Coach Kyle Kopp will be at the helm for the United States as Coach Baker is returning to the United States following a death in his family.
